Partners Visa

Partner visas require that you and your partner satisfy one of the following as prerequisite:                                                                                                                 

Are married; or

Are engaged to be married; or

Are in a de facto relationship for 12 months; or

Are in a de facto relationship for less than 12 months but have registered your relationship; or

Are in a de facto relationship for less than 12 months but your circumstances are compelling

Tourist Visa

There are wide range of tourist visas, but the most common are:

Tourist Visa(600):- Normally lets you stay in Australia for up to 12 months. Your intention must be only a visit. You are not allowed to study for more than 3 months and work in any form. You must have sufficient funds to support yourself throughout the visit including return airfare.                                     

Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601) visa:- This is an Electronic Travel Authority that is available to only certain passport holders. This gets decided in less than 1 day but an agent might be needed for the application. All you need is be outside Australia for this visa to be approved.              

Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa:- If you are between 18-31 and want to holiday and work in Australia and hold the eligible country passport, you will be eligible for this visa. You need gazetted educational qualifications and functional english for this visa.

Skilled Visa

There are wide range of skilled visas, the most common are: 

Skilled Independent (subclass 189) Visa:- This visa is a permanent visa under SkillSelect which allows you to live and work in Australia as a Permanent Resident. You can apply from inside or outside of Australia. Prospective applicants to submit Express of Interest (EOI) online and must have received invitation to apply. Should nominate a skilled occupation on MTSSL. Have completed favorable full skills assessment. Should meet the points test with pass mark of at least 65 points. Should be aged under 45 years at the time of application. Have competent English.

Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) Visa:- This visa allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. You can apply from inside or outside of Australia. Prospective applicants to submit Express of Interest (EOI) online and must have received invitation to apply. Must meet State requirements for nomination. Usually needs to live and work in the State for 2 years following visa grant. Should nominate a skilled occupation on MTSSL/STSOL. Have completed favourable full skill assessment. Should meet the points test with pass mark of at least 65 points. Should be aged under 45 years at the time of application. Have competent English.

Permanent protection:-
If you arrived in Australia legally, you can apply for a Protection visa (subclass 866).
Temporary Protection:-
If you arrived in Australia illegally, you maybe able to apply for a Temporary Protection visa (subclass 785) or a Safe Haven Enterprise visa (subclass 790).
